Mother's Day

 "Blink and they're be gone", were my Mothers' words of wisdom, when I was on the phone whining about how exhausted I was!.

"What do you mean...gone"?

They're still here!, Mum, they don't seem to go home!, even when they have got there own!

"Yes, I know", she reply's..."I meant, they're not under your feet, my dear".

Ha, my girls are not so much under my feet but more like, in you're face!.

My partner is worse at dealing with this then I, but when my partner starts to whine about my daughters riding the 'free' train too much, it kind da looses' its cuteness and harder to stay humble at my bigger babies'.
Let me explain...

they relax... to much! I love that they do, but listen...
they come and eat at leisure like an open café, but bring nothing to the table, only complaining that there's nothing to eat here!, so feeling embarrassed with that comment, I rush around the kitchen making a quick snack, like a Quiche' or toasted sandwiches to feed them, trying to answer myself at this though in my head...I would have been simply happy with a cup of coffee!
This really gets under my partners skin, I run around after them, while they sit and watch! if they aim to pop in on days I'm baking his favourite Apple Pie!, well...that's not a bright idea girls, please note this message in the future my sweet ones, please just don't touch! (yeah, I know, it would be simpler to just make more pies Trina!)...they relax way to much!, as my poor hard done by partner puts it.

My two grown adult daughters kick back, enjoying the hotel like facilities, comfort and security with the added convenience to drop grandchild off as it suits, with little or no notice, when you may return, don't get me wrong, we cherish every minute this wee soul fills our hearts in our company, but we do have a life you know!

Then there's the silly items like a hammer, screw-drivers or glue gun to make their life's easier, they borrow things like it has no return policy!, I'm sure they love this game, use and abuse! my partner realize the minute they have finally gone home, the thought of stupid-ness run's over you, a vision that a "L" plate on your forehead that reads 'Loser' on it!

I am looking forward to this weekend in May, 8th, Mother's Day
I swore this year things will be a lot different. I'm not going to be home! I going to be selfish, run away to a time zone for pampering all day. Day Spa out of town with Me, Myself & I, does that sound selfish, you bet your sweet arse it does and I'm all good with that, but wait, if I welcome my daughters along with me, they could fit the bill.

To my true few followers...(all five of you)
 I wish to thank you for your support.. kind words of encouragement and at times, have liked, commented and shared some of my posts, it's so rewarding, again, I thank you.

As you all may have guessed by now, my input here is always so slow to arrive, but I'm still here, viewing, commenting, liking and at times sharing along with you all.

The truth is, I'm still learning how to even get into my dashboard! it seems I sit and search for ages before I finally stumble on the right channels to get in!.( headsup, no kids live here).

Then it gets tricky, to fish around the platform to make the writing stay the some all the way through the story, before you show it too yourself at the review or most cases, panic and just save !( who does the some? is this a normal thing you all go through, or is this a classic case of a newbie....still ).

Oh, then it's the pictures!, they say photos help people stop by, if a picture has caught there eye!( if I could only learn to copy & paste, more would be in here I'm sure of it. So if you can view a photo at the end of this post, you are in luck, this only happens once or twice if you get me on an understand moment to push the right button.

I'll Write It quickly.....DENTIST

....so it doesn't hurt so much.

It could be said, 'I'm not overly keen about the Dentists'. In fact, since I was a little kid back in the day, going dutifully to the 'murder house' for dental visits, I've always been a fail in the enamel stakes.

My older siblings seem to have perfect-white-hard cavity free kind of teeth and I got the short straw with pretty crappy ones. At school, my sisters would dance along to the dentist, while I would reach for every drinking fountain on the way hoping this would work magic.
 
However, times have changed. Last time I had an emergency and trust me , I've had a few! my fabulous dentist kindly told me, it might be good if I came to see him when it wasn't as a tooth was  about to drop out or an abscess about to explode in my head. It's preventative dentistry!, who knew?
So... lately I've been a model patient, going along before I need to be sedated or airlifted to hospital.
Last week I even went to the dentist hygienist!, why, I dunno really, I must have had extra coins or something, but for an hour, I felt both cleansed and slightly disgusted by myself.

The thing about my own dentist is he plays DVD's on the ceiling TV, so you can watch Mr Bean or the picturesque landscapes of Ireland as you lie there white-knuckling it.
But, last week, someone had replaced the rolling hills of Cork and Mr Beans Holiday with a animal Doco featuring mating lions and a crocodile drowning and devouring some kind of giant moose...
I'm not sure if this helped or made the experience worse but it certainly was an education.

In case you're interested lions don't appear to be great lovers and if you are caught out swimming with crocodiles, you have a pretty good chance you aren't making it out alive.

Foundation, is really a girls best Friend

Foundation! Do you chicks have a favourite!, like me for years you have continued to return to your trusted chemist, every so often. It might be weeks/ months if you are like me to make the expensive bottle last as long as the budget will allow. I've spent a small fortune on new, amazing foundations that make you think you look year's younger, Liar, Liar, pants on fire to them. But, still, I go back to the original foundation every time. I will ponder over the huge range thats on the market looking for that one thats going to make me look youthful, you know, the one that doesn't make you break out, covers imperfections and stays on all day kind of foundation. I'm a Revlon 'Honey Dew' kind of girl and to hear the words....I'm sorry madam but it has been discontinued!, I'm sorry...what!!. Bewildered and mortified, standing there, I'm stunned. It's been discontinued!,...like, no more as in, this shop doesn't stock it anymore or deleted...you can't get it in New Zealand!. She looks at me then with a hush tone in her voice shouting it at me like I wasn't going to understand if she didn't . As she opened her mouth at me, my mind ran away with the thought, I'll have to fly to freakin London to prove my existence,wait, thats okay, I have a sweet blogger friend that lives there. I'll be like...Adele, I'm coming over to stock pile what could be what's left out there, the thought calmed me down having to come to terms with this shocking news. Can I exist with a colour change!, will I have a face no- one recognizes!. My heavy heart left the shop. Wondering for a short time the world must have stopped, sitting in my car for the trip home. I felt a little odd to say the least, this was very much a big deal and I'm not happy. But I will move on from this while I looked down at this colour change on the seat opposite me hoping it will serve me well, this not so favourite colour, yet!'Golden Sands'. Guess what, the world is still moving along and no one die, but hey

...guys, guys...where's my wine 🍷
